Further, you will be allocated a personal pin number printed on the band with the ER24 call centre number. This means that a person is assured of immediate action in the event of an accident.

When can I claim:
You can claim if you have to cancel due to the following circumstances:
- Unforeseen illness, injury or death involving you, a travel companion or a close relative
- Redundancy at work
- Accidental damage, burglary, flooding or fire at your home while you are away, or within two days of your departure for the event
- You being subjected to compulsory quarantine for the event
- A city on your itinerary suffering a terrorist attack
What is not covered:
- Pre-existing medical conditions
- Cancellation caused by pregnancy or childbirth

Excess payable:
- 10% of claim, with a minimum of R 500
