While Chris Froome’s Sky Team dominate the overall standings and shot finish on top of the money list come the finish in Paris on Sunday the Omega Pharma-QuickStep team continues to lead the money list on the 2nd rest day of the tour after adding 3 stage wins to its total. The Belgian team has had wins from Mark Cavendish (x2) and one each from Tony Martin and Matteo Trentin. The best young rider Michal Kwiatkowski has also contributed with time spent in the white jersey for best young rider.
On the second rest day, Omega Pharma – QuickStep has so far won a total of €82,740 ( R 992 880-00), with the Cannondale team of Peter Sagan in 2nd place with €41,440 ( R 497 280-00). Team Sky has dropped from second to third, at €40,950 ( R 491 400-00).Team Sky are however the odds on favourites to win the race title along with the money title by the end of the tour in Paris next Sunday evening.
